Keeping the essence
but looking to the future.

TABASCO is, of course, the red pepper. It’s what immediately
comes to mind when the brand is mentioned.
Today, nearly 150 years later, the basic recipe, the process
by which it’s made, and the ingredients remain virtually
unchanged. Now the aging process for the mash is longer –
up to three years in white oak barrels – and the vinegar
is high-quality distilled vinegar.
At the time it was probably a more than correct logo but today,
with the brand already established, many of the elements are
unnecessary. The idea is to simplify it as much as possible,
without losing its personality.
What makes Tabasco sauce so special and different from other hot chili sauces?
Tabasco’s most emblematic feature is the shape and size of
the bottle with the red cap, the diamond-shaped label and
the green label, which makes it instantly recognisable.
To enhance these elements we have removed the box. This
will help us differentiate ourselves from the competition.
Think about it, whenever you are in a restaurant, you instantly
know that the bottle you can just see the neck off on the next
table, is that bottle of hot sauce you need. You can instantly
recognize it when you see it in a TV show or movie scene.
Why hide it in a box?
